Generous Residing is an interactive site specific performance by Elsbeth Carolin Iten and Dana Iova-Koga. The collaboration, is based on the common interest in the intersection of art and the more-than-human environment, especially trees. Developing a creative cooperation across borders is one of the themes we are addressing, as Dana moved to New-York.The performance is a curated experience to observe a particular place.

In the Oerliker Park, which is an urban forest of sorts, we gave a series of invitations to the audience, to encourage them to discover, listen, see, and feel the space. The audience travelled attentively and independently in silence from one side of the space to the other, guided by our prompts, could take their time, to pause, to wait, to listen as they absorbed the living information of place. This created an opportunity to hone and refine their attention to detail.
The performance culminated with the audience gathering and a final act, which brought experience with the listening to a poem by Dana Iova-Koga to a close.
